Well, the idea was to have a nice, slightly brisk cruise along the RBM route.  Who was I fooling?  I got to the turn around point, (Starbucks), to laze around for a moment, when I spotted a group of uprights rolling by.  They weren't pros, but they were keeping a decent pace.  Something took over, the trike and I hunched down, focused on the prey, and when they were a bit over 1/4 mile away, we picked up the chase.  See the result here:

Don't you just love how the trike snarls as I shift out of first?  That's how mean the Big Cat gets.  Actually, the chain keeper on the idlers was pushed against the chain, so there is a bit more noise than normal, but of course the boom holding the camera amplifies the vibrations coming up through the tubes into the seat stays.
 
I finally start to overtake at 7:05, first the lady getting dropped, then their sweeper, then I fire the retros to pass the main group.  In front of them is this guy who I don't think was with them.  I think he didn't like the overtake too much, because he just held on...like locomotives do...and it took him a while, with the help of traffic lights that caught me and encouraged him.  Still he was mine on the final hill, but I was gassed, still trying to get in shape, and he finally passed me.  I pulled into some shade for a well-deserved blow.  I kept the camera trained on the road to see if the group saw where I pulled in.  No one noticed.  (Tee hee!)

By the way, you'll notice that my cadence is segmented, on/off/on, etc.  I'm a sprinter, so I have to stop to let acid drain from the legs.  I only fake like I'm a locomotive.
