Saturday "John's Bicycles" casual ride
Nov 30th, 2012, 9:45am

It looks like John Paulus is trying to do a semi-regular casual group ride from his store on Saturday mornings...  Of course, HE has to be back by 10 to open up the shop!   Anyway, here's the latest installment, for Dec 1st:

***************************************************

Dear Lancaster & Dallas/Ellis/Tarrant-County Bikers,

There will be a casual bike ride this Saturday morning, December 1st,  with riders gathering in front of John's Bicycles on the Lancaster Town Square at 8:30am.   The ride will begin promptly at 8:45 am, and we will return to the Town Square about 10:00 am

This will be a very EASY GOING  social ride, probably 7-9 mph on average, with nobody having to rush or be worried about keeping up.  Riders who choose to go faster are encouraged to just circle back to the group periodically during the ride.

The route will be on rural side roads east of Lancaster, which typically have very light traffic (often no traffic).  Total ride distance will be about 10 miles, but anyone is welcome to just do part of it, or add some extra miles.

Please wear a helmet, bring a water bottle or hydration pack, and a spare tube that fits your bike.

Hope to see you on Saturday!

Regards,

John

PS -- Please let me know if you'd like to be taken off this list, or if you would like to add someone to the list.

FOR SATURDAY, Dec 8 --

Dear Lancaster & Dallas/Ellis/Tarrant-County Bikers,

There will be a casual bike ride this Saturday morning, December 8th,  with riders gathering in front of John's Bicycles on the Lancaster Town Square at 9:00 am (later than last week).  The ride will begin promptly at 9:15 am, and we will return to the Town Square about 10:30 am

Like last week, when we had 14 riders of all ages, this will be a very EASY GOING  social ride, about 7-9 mph on average, with nobody having to rush or be worried about keeping up.

Hope to see you on Saturday!

Regards,

The Browns and Rothgebs are going down to this, this morning, to ride tandems...  then I'm staying for a bit to assist John in assembling my new Xstream....   Smiley

There is a Lancaster Bike Shop ~10-14 mile ride scheduled for this Saturday, Jan 26, rolling at 9:15AM, back by 10:30ish...  This is a good "starter" ride for somebody just getting going on a bike.
