Velo Venus

Rode "Velo Venus" 100K permanent Saturday with one other LSR member. The ride started out with the temperature in the high thirties. The wind was not bad and after a short while I was warmed up and really enjoying myself. This is the first time I have taken this particular route down to Venus and it was quite nice; except for the dogs.  There were quite a few dogs that either were either not fenced or had figured out a hole in or under their fences. It made for quite an adventure at times. Mostly we set a moderately easy pace as I try to build up base miles again. We got a bonus mile or so with a couple of missed turns, but the turn I missed Bob caught and the turn he missed I caught. In my case it was chalked up to me just wanting to go a couple hundred extra yards to pick up another dog to get chased by.  All in all a good ride and I am looking forward to the Italy 200 on November 17.
