Just announced no Hell's Gate this year.  http://www.timesrecordnews.com/news/2012/jul/16/route-change-up-in-hottern-hell/  There was no way to make a reasonable return route from the Gate.

So I just received my e-mail packet for HHH!  Is anyone carpooling or do we just try and find a parking space amongst the masses?  I have Friday the 24 off and can travel up that day.  Any suggestions?  I'm staying at the church where Paul and several others are staying.

Anyone going to the medical seminar that Friday? My wife's a nurse and wants to go, I figure it'll be interesting at least.

Jim,

I've also got that Friay off.  Was planning on heading up there Friday morning and wandering the trade show that afternoon.

Your more than welcome to ride up with me.  I am however overnighting in Lawton Friday night.

Give Vicky or I a call and we'll figure out the details.

If anyone is registered at the church and is not going to stay there please let me know as I do not currently have a place to stay except for inside my truck in the parking lot.

If you are looking for a place....Try the YMCA downtown or the YWCA just on the south side of town.   $10 I believe for either one.

I've not had trouble finding a space in the acres of parking there.  It may not be convenient, but I was riding a bicycle to the start line anyway.  I've had more trouble finding my car after the ride.   Smiley

There is always the camping option.

Hey bent-friends,
I've done HHH a few times a long time ago, before discovering bent riding.  Should be a lot more comfortable.  Is there going to be a group from the Metroplex? Bents and Tand's are starting at the bridge. I'm not sure if that's good or not.  What ya think? I'd like to go if there are going to be some from here, like Bud. I've got lodging taken care of.

I'm pretty sure there will be a good showing from here on bents.  I know of at least 5 or so just on the forum that will be on bents.  I'll be the slow pace setter... Smiley

What, is that the less than 6 hours pace group?  I'm going to find out if my friend-non-bent rider is going before I decide for sure. I guess I better decide by Sunday as on-line regis. closes then.

I would really like to get to know other bent riders.  Bud is the first one I've had an opportunity to ride with.  I can't keep up with him, of course. I'll be looking for events in the Metroplex to ride with the group.  Maybe I'll see you at something, if not HHH.

Come on out - there will be a lot of us that will be there and have not yet admitted it yet - like me.  Though I have never ridden with him - I know I can't keep up with Bud either (in miles or pace).  I'm going to be riding the 100k on my Corsa at an avg somewhere between a snails pace and 19 mph.  I guess I'll find out once it is over but I intend (at least now) to not work too hard.  That is subject to change once I see the DF pacelines to chase.
