Rehab Ride Report
Apr 12th, 2012, 6:52pm

been doing my trike riding rehab around the block for a little over 1 wk now...started out with going 1/4 mile on easiest gear as the doctor said no tension on the hip....today  I got up to .85 mile in about 18 minutes time...I played around with the gears to see how much tension my hip could take and though I never got out of 1st gear, I tried all the 7 choices in that gear.  My block is 1/2 mile around and fairly level with a little rise as you enter both blocks. I made the slight uphill fairly easy.

p.s. can you get more bike smileys other than this one running over someone?

Susan, we're very proud of you for getting out there and making the trike riding part of your rehab from hip surgery...  Getting moving after something like that isn't easy, and you're obviously motivated -- especially taking almost 20 minutes to go less than one mile!

Keep up the great work!   Smiley

The tricycle is the best platform for several things, including a gentle, non-impact rehab.
