NEW REAR RIDE ~ 01.01.2012

Bikin Mike has another New Rear Bike Ride on Sunday, January 1, 2012, in Blue Ridge, Texas. The ride starts at the Community Center, 200 W. Tilton Street, Blue Ridge, Texas 75424 ....starts at 11:00am

This is a nice rice, but it is a very small ride, however it is a GREAT way to start off the new year. I understand several R-Bent riders have ridden this ride. He offers black-eyed peas & cornbread at the end of the ride.

If the weather is semi-nice then I will be there, and I hope to see the rest of the riders, clowns, and especially the Musashi riders there as well. How about it Jay/Tony/John/etc....... Smiley

Wish Bikin' Mike would spent about $15 more dollars, so even the last rider to finish would wind up with a full bowl of blackeyed peas, instead of a few peas in a pea-tasting liquid.

Dan D. says there will be a New Year's populaire, a 100k. Details aren't available yet, but it will probably start about 10:00 am so that the finishers will arrive around the same time as the first 200k finishers. The start/finish is at Dan's house in Arlington on Hollywood Rd., and we will be eating black-eyed peas and other stuff afterwards.

The route will be Rando Alvarado 107k. The 200k is bulging with intended riders, and we've now got a half dozen riders interested in the 100. The populaire is a free ride, so last minute additions are not only accepted, they are encouraged!

The rest stop with the Port-O-Potties has been eliminated. I remember it from last year, because one of my knees went out on me, and I had to SAG in from that location. Note that the rest stops for this year's Ride are located only at Exxon stations. By the way I wouldn't be worried about drinking water (I don't need no stinking, weight-adding water). I would be worried about finding a place to get rid of water.
