Oct. 24th Cooper Clown Ride

Left to right: Larry K, Jim A, and Kenny J at gate to Cooper Lake outlet works tower. There has to be some water out there in that fog.

Two Democrats in a Charleston, TX pasture.

Remains of a hay baler on side of road. There was a very old abandoned house back in the woods, off to the right.

Larry K examining tooth from possum skull he found along with bones and fur in the bushes.

Very small cemetery down a dirt and gravel road in the middle of nowhere. The monument to the right of the tree was for a couple born in the early 1800's. The wife died in the 1890's and the husband in 1911. The other grave markers were too deteriorated to be readable.

Abandoned cotton gin in Enloe, TX. Most of the business buildings in the center of Enloe have been abandoned.

Larry K in Enloe jail. We busted him out and hightailed it out of town.

Jim A, Kenny J, and Larry K in Miller's Drug Store's 1930's soda shop waiting to order a homemade ice cream shake.

What? It's only 800 calories. I'll just ride em off.  Smiley  Behind the counter is 90 year-old "soda jerk" Mabel Wheat. She has been working that counter for 60 years. She's a big Texas Rangers fan.

End of our ride. Left to right: Jay G, Kenny J, Larry K,and Jim A. Photo taken in front of Cooper's local newspaper office by a reporter. Stop the presses! Is that one of those soon-to-be-a-classic Catbike Musashis?   Smiley
