Congrats on the beautiful new bike. I saw them putting it together when I was by the shop on Friday. Didn't realize it was coming home to an RBENT rider.

I was thinking about it, but doing a 60 on a new bike I've only had a week scares me. Especially as I have sore muscles in odd places after only riding it this morning for the first time! LOL

I ride my bike to ride my bike, and sometimes it takes me where I need to go.

That'll teach you to stay out of those odd places, eh?   Cheesy

If you don't use them already, might I recommend starting to use some sort of "clipless" shoe and pedal, to help keep your feet on the pedals?  Keeping your feet up there wearing "regular" shoes will get tiring, and you'll get better pedaling efficiency.  Just keep the clip/spring tension loose, so you can come out of them at a moment's notice -- gotta watch for the heelstrike issue!

Yeah, we've been using clipless for a while now. It's actually easier to clip in to my speedplays on the musashi, than it was on the Sun. Couldn't even think about not having clipless anymore.

Congratulations!

How about that SRAM Rival group on the bike? Is that is one sweet shifting combo or what?

What are your first impressions of the bike?

Overall, Amazing! Truly Amazing. And talk about FAST! I've spent the last 5 years on the Sun EZ-1s. I feel like a whole new world has opened up to me. I was passing cars today LOL!!

I didn't care much for the bar end shifters as they tried to disembowel me every time I turned sharply LOL. We ended up swapping my rear derailleur for the X-7 one, and the shifters for the X-7 trigger speed shifters, and I love them.

Handling is great, I managed to take my hands off the handlebar earlier today for about 10 seconds LOL. Oh, and did I mention fast?

Check out www.sloshbucklers.com for a running commentary. I'm sure I'll have a lot to say over the next couple of weeks.

Yeah, the X7 rear derailleur/trigger shifter combo is really nice. Have it on my Baron.

You're a lot braver than I. I tried the hands-off maneuver for about 1 second.   Smiley
