Eastbound I-30:
Crews will close all three lanes of eastbound I-30 from Zion Road to Bass Pro Drive in Garland and route traffic to a frontage road from 9 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Monday morning.

Additionally, the right and center lanes of I-30 eastbound from Gus Thomasson to Galloway in Mesquite will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

Take heed, this is on the way to Greenville.

Best to find an alternate route. They did the same thing last weekend and it took my wife an hour and a half to drive through Rockwall to Rowlett with the highway closure. Fun times!

I am going to take 380, Both Garmin and Google say it is the same time and distance (almost). At least for me anyway. Frisco would be even closer.

Thanks for the heads-up, John. I would have taken I-30 and missed the ride start. Looks like I'll have to take a pass on the ride this year and do the East Side ride, instead.
