Paluxy Pedal Ride (Read 920 times)

Cookie rbent member Posts: 107	Paluxy Pedal Ride Sep 7^th, 2011, 10:45am My wife just informed me that there is going to be a ride not too far from us next month in Glen Rose, Tx. Has anyone done this ride before. "Quicksilver Paluxy Pedal Ride". Looks like it would be a fun ride. Looked at picture of past ride and didn't see any recumbent bikes. I've done it twice, very hilly in the middle including "The Wall" which if I remember is a 19% grade, quite a bit of chipseal especially the last 12 miles.

I have no urge to do it again.

I can't get up the Wall without walking, but the ride is worth it just for the downhill run somewhere past the Wall. I've never seen more than 2 or 3 recumbents there. May be moving that weekend, but if not I'll make it.

Challenging but very rewarding once you get through. I will be doing the 80 mile this year. Hope to see more recumbents this year. Remember the hills make you a stronger rider. Mike
