Casual 15-20 miler Mesquite Ride Thurs Sept 9
Aug 29th, 2011, 9:53pm

A friend of mine and his son (who ride MTBs) expressed an interest in doing some riding around the Mesquite/Sunnyvale area, so I offered to do a casual version of the 'north of Hwy 80' part of the normal GDB Mesquite ride route that goes out Barnes Bridge and along the lake to Hwy 80.  We're going to ride Thursday Sept 9, rolling out from the Poteet HS parking lot at 6PM sharp.  This is going to be probably 12-15mph rolling pace, no drop, with a bit of hill climbing along the way.

If anyone would like to join us, feel free...  I'm going to TRY to take them on a 20-mile version that comes back in on Barnes Bridge the way we go out, but it'll depend upon daylight and their ability to climb.  There is a 15-mile version that comes back in on Tripp Rd.

The map is at  http://ridewithgps.com/routes/672348  showing the 15-mile version - the 20 heads back north from the small loop near Hwy 80.
