Texas Time Trials 2011 - Sept 22-24

The Texas Time Trials 2011
September 22-24, 2011

The date has been set and applications are already arriving.  We would like to extend a personal invitation to you, as a previous Texas Time Trial racer and/or volunteer, to come out and race, volunteer or do both again this year.  Last year was the best ever and our new Glen Rose venue provided the perfect location.  Come see old friends and make some new ones while challenging yourself on the 26.5 mile looped course.

We will again be having 5 events including: The Tejas 500, The Iron Butt 24-Hour Time Trial, The Tin Butt 12-Hour Challenge, The 6 Hour Shoot Out and The 26.5 Mile Sprint.  The Awards Bash will round out the event on Saturday evening when we hand out those awesome trophies.  The same TTT trophy for first and last place, won’t you please come earn yours.

For those of you who were not at the event last year, you will love the benefits of having the race in Glen Rose.  There are all the comforts you need including restaurants and hotels within walking distance of The Glen Rose City Park, our start/finish.

Mark your calendars, call your friends, check-out the website and mail in your applications.  An application is attached to this e-mail. If entering the race this year is not for you, join our group of terrific volunteers and still enjoy the fun.  To volunteer just send us your name, telephone number, e-mail address and shirt size to dansmark@flash.net.  All the information that you need is on www.TT24TT.com and remember to join the discussion group to get the most current Texas Time Trials news.  We look forward to seeing you there!

Happy Trails,
Dan D.

At the moment, I am still planning on doing the solo 48 hour race.  Anyone want to crew?

Who has signed up, is going to sign up, and what distance?  Curious to see what level of recumbent participation we'll have this year.  I'm doing the team 500 as well as the 1 lap shootout.

Not riding, but may be able to volunteer...  If you've done Goatneck, you've ridden the TTTT course - it's the Glen Rose loop.

I'll be there as a volunteer.  I'm still considering if I want to be the first trike to do the one-lap race.  Wink
