Tour de Paris 7/16
Jul 10th, 2011, 8:47pm

Who is going?  What are you riding?  Any breakfast or lunch plans?

I'm registered and planning to ride the lowracer on the 110k course.  I'm down for breakfast and/or lunch if anyone else is interested.

Too hot for me to do 110K and too far to drive to do just 70K. Will probably do Plano East Side again.

I wasn't happy with the chipseal in the middle of last year's 100k route and swore I wouldn't do it this year however it looks like they changed that route quite a bit which might avoid the rough stuff so I'll be there.

For those riding the Paris rally, stop at Cooper Texas on your return, go to the southeast corner of city square, you will see the Miller Drug store which has a Ice Cream parlor, Inside is a soda jerk, Mabel Wheat, she is 90 years young and has been a soda jerk at the parlor for 60 years. She make the Ice Cream there and it is very goooooddd. The parlor closes at 5:00pm. If you stop tell her you are there as part of the recumbent riders that were in town last April, she is share as a tack and she will remember. Let me know if you stop and how you enjoyed it.

There are also several places to stop and pick fresh blueberries.  You can get a much better product for a lower price
then you'd get at the grocery.  And the taste of fresh picked blueberries doesn't even compare to store bought!!!
