Tour d'Italia
Jun 15th, 2011, 9:00pm

Anyone planning to do Tour d'Italia Saturday?  http://www.tourditalia.com/  How is the route? Any big hills?

I got the green light to go but I'm not sure if I'm going to go yet.  Probably bringing the lowracer if I go though.

I'm going to skip it. Been having an issue with one of my knees. Seems to be improving, so I might try the Plano Eastside Ride to check out the Musashi's gearing on that single steep hill.

Lots of small hills (more than HHH). nothing big.  Snow cones at the end, and the Elvis rest stop near the end.  Usually it's the first hot ride of the year, but that aint the case this year.

Sounds like it isn't worth 2 hours of driving and paying the $30 registration fee.

Jay - let me know for sure if you are doing the east side ride and I'll join you.  Probably gonna ride from the house to add a few additional miles.  Anyone interested?  ..... Paul?

My knee survived 52 miles on the Clown Ride, today, so I'll do the East Side ride this Saturday.

Sounds good - see you there.  If we end up doing the McKinney loop I will end up somewhere around 66 miles for the day with my commute miles assuming there are no extra excursions.  Needless to say - I don't think I'll be doing a full out sprint south down Greenvile Ave Saturday.  Gotta leave something in the tank for getting home.

Aw, man! I'm disappointed. Thought we would get to have a shootout - Musashi vs. low racer.  Smiley
