Ride of Silence
May 9th, 2011, 6:17pm

I checked the web site and it looks like the Mother Ride for the RoS is going off as usual from the boat ramp parking lot gathering at 1830 with departure @1900. Try to keep it @12MPH guys, otherwise the guys in the back with be doing 24 trying to keep up because of the accordion effect. Will we be wearing club jerseys this year?

May 18, 2011 - Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.- Ride of Silence, White Rock Lake - West Lawther Drive and Branchfield Drive - Silent and slow memorial ride (less than 12 MPH) that began at White Rock Lake in 2003, and now takes place all over the country, and world. Only event to ever take place on the same day, at the same time. Organized by volunteers without a cash flow. Draws between 2,000-3,000 riders. Very solemn; meaningful, yet colorful.

I have a dentist appt early in the afternoon and as long as I feel okay my plan is to ride down the WR Trail and do laps before the ride (clockwise).

Key L. and I are going to park our vehicles in the small lot across the bay from the boat houses at Tee Pee Hill, and ride our trikes from there to the Ride starting point.

One problem about the speed of the event is that some are natural stragglers, doing less than the programmed speed.  Big gaps are produced.  That's why I am going to stay as close to the front as possible.

So what's the verdict on the jerseys?

See y'all there.

I will have mine on, but sitting in a TRIKE, not many people get to see it.

Unfortunately - mine is still dirty from last weekend.  Got to fall to my only other jersey HHH.
