Well Steve and I have sent in our application for the inaugural Texas 1200k Smiley. This well be our first 1200k(750miles) event. This is a timed event but not a race, we will have 80 hours(4 days) to complete the event. It begins in Waxachie to Marble Falls, Dripping Spring , then into the hill country  New Braufels , Sealy, Hunstville then as we head back to the start through Crockett  finishing back in Waxachie. This event has a limited number of enters, only 40 to 50 riders. To qualify you most have ridden a brevet series (200,300,400,600k0 last year or one before the event begins. Steve and I rode two series last year and a 1000k event, so we can only hope that well help us find a spot in this event.

I think we have at least a couple of other rbent riders planing to ride.

I am registered (now I just need to qualify for it).  Sadly, Shellene will not be able to ride it, she won't be able to get time off from her work.
