Re: Texas Time Trials fun in the rain

While I'm in the process of uploading photos (there are only 251 'bent related shots), I was playing with the results spreadsheet for the full 500 miles.  This year Greg finished 5th place overall in the 26 mile sprint (hat's off sir, sprints make me  Smiley), so I moved the results around to place the 'bents in the main field, and then I decided to place Peggy in the mix.  Here are the top 9 finishers for the Tejas 500, out of the 21 that finished.

Gary Gottlieb    29:37  17.00 MPH  1st  Overall Winner
Chris Young      32:08  15.67 MPH  2nd  1st 'bent
Wayne Dunlap     32:32  15.48 MPH  3rd
Steve Petty      33:12  15.17 MPH  4th
Thomas Lavallee  33:24  15.07 MPH  5th
Virgil Moehsmer  34:32  14.58 MPH  6th
Jeff Winter      35:13  14.30 MPH  7th
Peggy Petty      35:27  14:20 MPH  8th  1st Overall Female (Female course record, any bike)
Frederic Ricol   36:07  13.94 MPH  9th

That's some pretty strong riding by the 500 milers.  In the 24 hour race a new record was set as Sandy Earl eclipsed the mark set last year by Peggy (Sandy record is actually an overall for the 24 hour both Male and Female on any bike)

I have most of the photos uploaded, but Webshots must have sprinted so I'm missing 9 of them (I'll figure out which ones in the next couple of days), but for now the photos can be found  at http://tinyurl.com/500bent  Webshots requires an account to download the photos, but if there are any that you want email me and I'll get them to you.
