anyone trying to get  a Super Randonnerurs
Jul 26th, 2010, 11:50am

Steve and I will be riding the Aug 14 400k and the Sept. 4 600k to finish up our Super Randonneurs for this year. I know we have at least a couple of other rbent riders only missing one of two of the up coming rides to receive there Super, so please come out and play, lets see how many Rbent Super Randonneurs we can get this year!!!!!! The 2 rides would be great training for the TTT. I will be riding the 400k as more of a speed workout (not that means it will be fast because I'm not very fast) but I will be working on keeping my speed up as long as I can. The 600k I think I will be helping a triathlon guy that is very fast but never done any kind of rando event before through his first event, I told him I would be riding a easy ( to modularity pace) .  So I would love some company if anyone would like to come out and play!!!!!

I'll be out for the 600k for sure.  It's all I need for the SR.  I'm still planning on a San Antonio visit to the Texas State time trials Aug 14-15.  I'll be riding my own ride though with that kind of distance, so I'll see you at the start!

Currently have them on the schedule, need both for SR status, and qualifying for any 1200 attempts next year.
Unfortunately not sure if life will intrude or not.  May have to end up missing one for family reasons.

Huh, I wonder if I would count as company?  I have one series, so these 2 rides (400 & 600) would make it two series, so I'm greedy Smiley

Although ,not as impressive as Bud's R-4 Smiley

Well, I've got my ACP 200k for the year, just need to get the 300, 400 and 600k   Smiley

Peggy, I do have some bad news for you, the 8/14 ride won't count for your Super - it's not ACP.  Of course, those who know you know you're super anyway!  Smiley

As they say, the best lied plans. Will I still want to do this one for training. I don't think I will do a 400k the week before the 500 mile TT. so I guess I will see if Huston had a ACP 400 later on in the year.  Thanks for pointing that out I would have missed that. See you soon
