Rear wheel sizing question
Apr 11th, 2010, 2:26pm

On the Baron Elite I can have either the usual 26" or a 700 rear wheel, any advantage to getting the larger size?

Go for the 700c.  You're going to enjoy a MUCH wider range of tire selection, since that's the standard road bike size.  Plus the larger diameter tire will roll better and therefore provide less jarring on chipseal.

I have a 700 you could borrow and test out the difference, if you like.

The 26 will put you lower.
