tail lights
Feb 5th, 2010, 10:45am

I've seen a couple of commuters in my area with decent headlights on the bikes. I can seen them coming but when i watch from behind the rear lights are lacking even with a couple of blinking lights. Has anyone tried the Dinotte tail lights or anything that really gets a drivers attention?

the dinottes work for sure _ i quiter like my planet bike superflash blinkies, though.  ALso a rear facing fenix l2d would work on flash mode and annoy a lot of drivers.

I could very clearly see a DiNotte tail light on a bike that was about 1 mile ahead of me at one of the last pay rides I rode (I caught up with with the rider and asked him what it was). I have also ridden 50 yards behind Terry P. when he had a DiNotte tail light mounted on his X Stream. It was almost blindingly bright at that distance. The tail light is in my possession now.

John, are you coming to the Clown Ride tomorrow morning?

I second the Planet Bike Superflash.  Only $25 at REI.  Just don't look directly into it. Smiley

I've got a couple of MARS 3.0s, and they're nice and bright...

There is Dinotte then everything else.  If you put my Dinotte next my planet blinky there is just no comparison.  Now the dual Led Planet Superblinky type tail light I purchased from PowerOncycling comes close.  I picked up two of those for my sister's trike.

I ride with one Dinotte and a superblinkly and two Mars one on each side facing sideways.  But this setup is for summer night riding.
