Bacchetta Strada - medium
Jan 13th, 2010, 11:26pm

Time to cut back on the number of bikes in my garage.  I love my new to me Barcroft Oregon, and it has supplanted my Strada as my main commuter.
This was Peggy Petty's before I bought it, and it is in great shape.  I will publish more stats if you're interested.  Here are some pictures of it in for sale trim:

the only change I might make is to put the nicer Shimano single sided spd pedals on there that I got from Peggy.

asking $1000, but happy to negotiate / made a deal locally.

also still have a 50cm KHS track bike if any one is interested.

Take Care,
Nelson.

Nelson, if we can arrange it, I'd like to see if this will work for Alexis.  I have a suspicion it won't, but.....

It looks like we might have a new LSR Bent rider in FW.  Bob Ford has agreed to purchase my Strada.
I will let him know about the forum if he doesn't already.

Take Care,
Nelson.

Congratulations to Nelson and Bob.  I'm also sure Peggy loves keeping her bike in the family.  I get chills every time I see Vickie Tyer riding my Ti Seven, especially in the 1200k rides!

I met Bob a year or so ago on an LSR 200k.  He was riding a single speed!  And it was the Mineral Wells/Cherry Pie Hills ride.  Would you love to ride a single speed up Cherry Pie Hill.

Welcome Bob, looking forward to riding with you again.

Having taken my ss out yesterday for the first time, I can say with authority that I would be walking up 9/10ths of that hill.  If not 9.999 tenths Smiley

I talked to you last week about your bike and we decided it was too small, we even emailed a little.  I am amazed at the distances some of you are riding.  I bought my ss last june after a neck injury forced me off the upright and have never looked back.  I try to ride every day and usually get around 25 miles in.  On the weekends that amount will double.  I would love to hook up with some other bent riders but my problem is time.  I ride during lunch and do not have as much time as i would like.  Anyway, I thought it was kinda funny finding you on this forum.

Hi Mike,

Everyday 25 miles is great, and the SS is a sweet bike!  Glad you found the forum, and look forward to an chance to ride together.

Take Care,
Nelson.
