2 straight nights of about an hour reworking my front Paul V-brakes and they've never been better, but they're still freaking squeal monsters, crapola!  Just gripin...

Did you check the toe on the pads? How about wiping down the rims with a clean rag?

I'll second Opus' advice.  I've yet to have a squeal not resolved by a careful cleaning of the rims/discs and pads.  But I'm sure other reasons are possible too.  Good luck with it.
