BABBLE Ride Saturday:

Saw this and it sounds like fun.

Come join us at the inaugural ride of Bicycling Authors, Bloggers, Bold-face Liars, & Exaggerators, BABBLE, as we take a leisurely tour of Fort Worth We will leave from the Texas and Pacific Train Station on the south end of downtown at about 10 am. If you're coming from points east, you can take the Texas Railway Express (TRE) from Dallas or Irving or wherever... I've recently taken the TRE to Dallas and rode my bike around there, the TRE is pretty bike-friendly. The T&P station is the last stop on the westbound route.

We will ride about 13 miles before lunch at La Familia Mexican Restaurant. After that, it will only be 3 miles back to the start point. Along the way we will see:
. Panther City Bicycles on Magnolia
. Colonel's Bicycles near TCU
. The Trinity River Trail
. The Fort Worth Water Gardens

The pace will be leisurely; I'll be on my 3-speed. Lycra is okay, cotton is okay. Where whatever you're comfy in.

I could be talked in to doing this if anyone I know is coming.  I'd probably head out down the trail after lunch and get in some additional, faster miles though.

Or the $7.50 for the day pass to ride the train. But then again this is for people that write on the computer about bikes, a lot of time they don't actually get to spend much time riding them. Smiley

I ride my bike to ride my bike, and sometimes it takes me where I need to go.
