So that's at least 4 of us going.....

So, who's in (I know it's tentative at this point)?

For those who aren't UMCA, or don't follow the ultra racing, this is a 12/24 hour race in Florida.  http://www.bikesebring.org/  Greg rode it last year.

While we're on the subject.....

We're looking at a big group of us:  Me, Barlow, the Petticoats  Wink, Kent, and Scott Freeman from the OKC want to go to Sebring.  So some sort of massive carpool is needed.  I bet Sharon and Vickie go again this year too.

For me personally I would love a carpool with 2 other people.  That would require either buying an add-on to my rack or a roof rack to fit my rav 4's bars.  I'd definitely need someone to share driving time.  Also I plan for sur eon spending an extra day at the hotel to recover.  Last year we packed and left soon as the awards were handed out, and that caused me no end of pain.

But the BIG thing we need is someone to support all of us during this thing.  At least one person to take down and move it and the gear from the day staging area to the pit for the night loops.  2 people wouldn't be amiss.

So we either need someone who lives near there would might crew for us, or pull together and share the expenses of someone willing to take the time to come crew for us.  *IS* anyone willing to come crew for us?

As much as I would love to go, I think the stars will have to align just right for it to happen.  Recovering won't be the big problem, but I have to see what's up with kiddos and the wife's schedule.

Keep me in the "I would love to if possible" catagory.

Our current plans are for me to drive down with both bikes, and then Shellene will fly in for the race.

She is planning on racing, as a warm up for the HC600.

My daughter indicated she will try to be there and wants to crew for us. Not a sure thing right now though.

I would loe to "convoy" ,but my guess is the Peginator is going to want to leave a week early to visit family in St.Petersburg, and then visit on the way back from Sebring. So we might be driving solo.

I may have to take that back. She's talking like she wants to ride in it now...

I just hooked one crew person, my friend Renee (a speedskater/adventure racer out of Houston) has agreed, and I have a lead on a second person as well.

Sandy and I are working hard on getting either Robert Johnson, Adrienne Ruggles, or Mandy (don't remember) to come crew.  Adrienne is pregnant though so she's very iffy.  The three of them have probably more RAAM, RAO, and FC508 experience than anyone we could find.  We'll see.

Hey guys, I've invaded your forum!

I'm game for carpooling or whatever.  Going through Dallas instead of I-40 is a little farther but I'm planning on a two day drive anyway.  I'll keep looking here for plans.  A friends daughter and her fiance live in Ft Myers and may be willing to come up and help.  They have never done any crewing but help is help.  I'll see if I can recruit them.
