Paluxy Pedal
Sep 30th, 2009, 8:40pm

I've obviously not ridden enough hills lately.  Thinking of doing the paluxy pedal in good old Glen Rose.  Anyone coming?

rides of 29-80 miles, includes the WALL for the longer routes.

I've done it the last 2 years and while the hills are a pain the real problem is the chipseal which is especially rough the last 10-12 miles.

Hmmmmm, that 29 mile route looks a little familiar.  I think I'll pass.

I've done this ride every year, since it's inception in 2003. The first year there was about 25 riders. It's been great to see the popularity of the riding in the Glen Rose area grow over the years.  Adam has done a good job.

"The Wall" is a real kicker on a bent.  Although a few miles afterwards, there is a really long descent, several miles long.

They usually have good 'give aways', and tons of pizza at the end.

OH!  I know that road now that you talk about it.  It overlooks the valey and goes by the ampitheater, right?  I climbed that on a ride a few months ago.  Took everything I had for sure.

Well, the FWBA is also doing the peaster pedal this Saturday.   Maybe I'll go do that since it's free Smiley
