Well it was worth a shot:

Read from the bottom up, re:  the cotton patch races.  Seems like a nice guy - I've asked him to keep us in mind for next year.

Hi Greg,

Here are answers to your questions below:

   1. We will be doing race registration on the Saturday and Sunday.
   2. One day race licenses will be available.  If you race on Saturday and Sunday, you will have to purchase a one-day license for each day.
   3. We can't mix recumbant with standard bikes in the same race.  We are also not offering recumbant categories this year.

You are the first person that has asked about adding a category for recumbants.  If there is enough interest we would consider adding something next year.  If you come to Greenville this weekend and have a few minutes, I will be near the registration area all weekend.  Please find me and we can talk about this.  If not, feel free to call me next week at 214-325-9455 and we can discuss this.

Best regards,

I'm considering riding in these two events.  Will you do one-day registration, and will you allow a recumbent to ride?  I've raced in many uscf events before.  If not, would you consider adding a bent category next year?  We have quite a few recordholders in the area who would love to do he race.

I'm not familiar with this event (but that's not surprising)...  Could be interesting...

I know the Cotton Patch used to have a race strictly for recumbents. At the time, there was little interest and they may have only done it the one year. I think Bob McClure took part in it.

First USA Cycling promoter outside of Kevin I've ever had be open to adding a recumbent category!  Might be worth a shot next year!

Take Care,
Nelson.

Sure worth following up on.   All you fast guys up North could do a demo, while I cheer you on via UTube.
