Perils of peaking too early...
Sep 8th, 2009, 8:20pm

So I was around 215 at RAO - just couldn't seem to drop the pounds.  Since then, my new diet has done some wonders and I'm down sub 200.  Just in time for the screw in my foot to come loose.  (wardrobe malfunction?)

So I'll know tomorrow whether TTTT will be on the cards or not.  In the meantime, I guess I've peaked a week too early!

Well, I wouldn't call it the LAST 15.  I'd like it to be the FIRST 15.  But I'm 5 pounds shy of my lightest weight since High School.  Hopefully I can break that goal, but we'll see.  My body usually fights me a bit to get any lower than this, but I don't think it will this time.

I didn't start the diet trying to drop the pounds, but it's certainly a great side benefit.   this is it:

This from the man who grosses (no pun intended) me out at control stops with all the convenience store meats he downs while saying simply, "Protein"? Good on you!

I dropped three pounds last week while moving, but I can't recommend it as a weight loss technique.

It is funny what you end up craving during these events.  Ice cream, convenience store hot dogs and beef jerky I've had seem a lot more normal to me than the fried pies and greasy hamburgers and fries I've seen people down.  I think most of the stuff I've had has been tame compared to some.  I almost never eat sausage but sometimes a sausage and egg biscuit is just what the doctor ordered.

Of course, avoiding wheat as much as possible is going to make a lot of long distance stuff a challenge.
