This is still on for next Saturday...   for those of you who have been down there already, where's the best place for everybody to meet up?

IMHO the best meeting spot is the park where the start/finish will be.  There is shaded parking, and the Sonic and host hotel is directly next door.

This was the second week in a row I rode the course.   This weekend was with my team (Dennis, Jeremy and Herb).  Dennis and I met Friday night to get some night riding in.  Then we road twice on Saturday.

The only dogs we saw were on the first lap Saturday morning, and it was between the start and Nemo (mile 3 to mile 6).  Two dogs at different spots came onto the road, however, neither did much more than bark a little to strut their chest.  No real chasing involved.  I have not seen any dogs on the course other than this experience.

I can't go on 8-22, and hope you all have a fun and rewarding experience.  BTW:  Hammonds BBQ, which is just west of the start/finish line (on hwy 67) is great.  I've been going there for 20 years.

Sounds like a good plan!!!!  Thanks, see everybody there, 8AM rollout!

DIRECTIONS: From Cleburne, Texas take U.S. 67 South (west) for about 23 miles to Glen Rose, Texas. After you pass the major intersection of 67 & 144 proceed straight ahead for about 6/10ths of a mile until you see a Sonic Drive Inn on the left. Turn left immediately after the Sonic Entrance in to the park.

Change in plans, Peggy does NOT have to work tax free at "Thingy's" this weekend, so we'll be there Saturday morning riding the course. I'm not hammering ,we'll be there to find our pace to find for the 24 hour event(I have an idea of the pace, but want more laps to confirm).

This looks like a nice, flat route and should be a good tuneup for HHH.

Wish I could join you guys, but I'll be down in San Antone with the family.  No riding for me this weekend, might have to sneak out for some early morning runs Smiley
