Goatneck Ride

The Goatneck ride is July 25 in Cleburne.  Brian and I are planning on going, probably the 41 mile route.  Anyone know anything about it?

I did the 69 mile route last year, and will probably do that again. It's a scenic route, and just when you're starting to get tired, you get the pleasure of climbing Goatneck Hill.

I start with the 69 mile riders and make it to Goatneck hill almost first.  Then halfway up the hill I stop and take pictures of the riders climbing the hill.
Be sure to smile. I have a faster camera so maybe I can get 700 pictures before the batteries die.

It's a good long ride with a very very large hill near the end

Be sure to get close to the road, last year the regular photographer was way over to the side and the pictures were distant and grainy. The previous year they were okay, I got a mug made of mine Smiley

Hmmmm, wonder if we'll have an earthquake during the ride? That'll be a new experience.

As a rule I prefer to stand in the middle of the road. Is that close enough?
