So Tom (powerbent) and I met up this morning at RBM riding up from our respective domiciles and spun down to Anderson-Bonner where I saw a recumbent on the trail up ahead. I caught up with the gentleman (thin guy, maybe in his 60's with a grayish beard) who said his name was Jeff Weiss. He has a red, USS Vision R40 and said he had ridden with some RBENTers a couple years back, but has been out of the game for a couple years due to some sort of injury. I told him he was welcome to visit us on the forum here and them turned back to see what happened to Tom. Jeff and I had been riding at a pretty slow pace and he should have caught up. I found him back in the parking lot of Anderson-Bonner looking at his bike,
which is never a good sign. When I got back he said the seat was sitting up too straight but couldn't figure out what was causing it. I mentioned that the chain was now rubbing the seat frame and when he looked down, he saw the broken frame.
So Tom is now out of the game until he can find another ride. If anyone has a lead on something, I'm sure he would appreciate you letting him know.
