John Schlitter-103K Bobcat ride
Jun 2nd, 2009, 10:10pm

John Schlitter is going to be in town briefly this weekend & will be riding my 103K LSR Bobcat ride on Saturday. Sara K will also joining John, Peggy & myself. We  would love to have company(a good  Rbent participation would be cool ). This an LSR ride, but for $25, you can join RUSA  & ride along with us & eat at Lucy's (on the square)after the ride.Where else can we ride with John for $25?

You can e-mail me at strada177@yahoo.com(or PM me) if you're interested.

 RUSA's website is:http://www.rusa.org/

Yeah, this should be a great ride. Sorry it was a last minute posting, things kinda came together late. Greg, sorry you won't be able to join us.

So will John be racing out to put the hurt on the DFs on this ride, probably a recovery ride for him,  or crawling along at a regular rider pace?

I'm sure John will finish an hour or two before you and I do.

And if it's like cupcake well we know how that went but at least this time y'all be having lunch instead of hanging out in the hotel parking lot. Of course back then I was on a Bacchetta hmm.
Hm so the next question is bobcat an out and back or a loop?
If there is more then one midpoint control I could blow my legs out for the first few miles then uhm get a cramp and turn around and limp back to try and come in before y'all have started lunch.  Smiley

I can't do it, Terrie and I are doing the Komen fundraiser walk...

I would think John and SK would be intending to do this as a "social" ride, not a 100K hammerfest, but maybe not...

Have fun!

If you haven't done the Bobcat route I highly recommend it!  About as low traffic roads as we get around here, and Lucy's is not to be missed.

Take Care,
Nelson.

It's pretty easy climbing-wise, as well.

After a recent ride on the route, a LSR member's Garmin read 1,200+ feet of climbing for the 64+ miles.  He can't ride it faster than Greg & I rode it a few weeks ago(legally with controls). I'm sure it will be a social ride.

I don't know about that, considering how much time we had to kill at the first two controls that last time I rode with him.  Of course, at that point he was trying (quite successfully in fact) to school a DF rider on what a Bacchetta could do.

We'll find out Saturday morning. I say their might be some sprints, but overall, I think it will be social.
3hrs,27 mins is as fast as the route can legally be ridden. That record is safe.

For those that want to ride Saturday morning, there is plenty of free parking on the square in downtown Celina(Ohio & W.Pecan St). The first control is 2 blocks to the east on Pecan.
