Texas Time Trials 2009?
May 28th, 2009, 12:42pm

Too early to start the thread on this?  I bet probably everyone knows what they're doing, but let get into it.  I've thought about the 12 hour and trying to beat Dennis Johnson's record of 180 miles, but I'm open to any other possibility, though I think the 4-man record is going to stay since that At&T pro team beat us by 2.5 hours last year.

What are y'all thinking?

I'd love to do the 4-man again but I'd have to see what condition I will be first, got a lot of work to do

I'll try the max distance my body will take on a solo attempt unless something goes drastically wrong before then.  Right now, that seems like the 12 hr.  We will see......

Actually, the AT&T team isn't pro, and their record may fall this year, a few of the masters I know on that team are aiming for the "youngsters" record.

You should be able to take the 180 mile record easy.

I'm planning on the 500 mile version.

I'll probably just be a volunteer this year...  although my best lap time last year would have gotten me third in the single-lap time trial!  I was going to do the solo 200 last year to go after that record, but Greg talked me into Team Lowracer...

I'm also in for the mixed( I think I am the mixed part of that mixed team) 500 and then also do the 6 hour race. I only  Smileyneed to get 117 miles for the record on the women 6 hour.

If you're not part of the mixed team ,I'm not. As a team ,we need to revise the team name. I object to "mixed bag of nuts."   I like "there will be blood" or darn ,what's the Spanish word ,Rose...

I'm definitely in for the mixed team if you guys are.  Team ride = fun, solo ride = hard,   fun > hard.

I like Los Cuchinos too.  Gret idea Steve.

We can beat our 4 peson, mixed team ride time last year.  Dexter's team, who had a later start eclipsed our mixed team record by only a few minutes.  We should have a "time" goal for this year, and then begin to work now to exceed that goal.  Peddlin' Peggy - do you want to set the goal for us, or how about letting William set our goal  Smiley

Speaking of William, Angie is going to give me the gift of "coach" as a father's day present.

Ray, in my opinion, Nelson should set our goal ,since he's the team captain. In the upcoming months, we should meet as a team & establish a ride order & time goal. William can coach us as individuals, but not our team. That should come from within.

Congrats on a coach, William is a good guy.  Now,we;ll all have TT helmets.
