Trinity Trail Bridge Repair Status?
May 27th, 2009, 9:34am

I contacted the owner of a pretty nearby permanent route which uses the trinity trail system. Don't know about the route but I figured was a good opportunity to explore and get down there. Route: River Roll to Up A Creek Sports http://texaspermanents.org/route.php?rusa_number=190 .

Jerry said one of the bridges was closed for repairs and he would contact streams and valleys to see if it was back online. Since some of you folks ride down there I was wondering if you might know of a bridge out, if it was back or if there was a way around it (even if it meant walking)?

Unfortunately I don't have any more info.. I'm going to go see if I can find it on the parks page or the hours of the park.

Couple things:  I don't know of any bridge that's out, but I'll ride the trail tonight and let you know.  However, I dislike this route.  It has some high speed high traffic roads with little to no shoulder.  Now if they'll be busy during the day or not I cannot say.  Bud and I rode it on a Saturday and I for sure don't want to ride it again.

Ugh. Oh well sounds like my commute so should be fun during rush hour  Smiley Actually I tend to avoid rush hour on my commute. *sigh*

I asked Jerry if he knew where abouts the bridge issue was I'll let you know if I hear back.

"The trail was closed between Bellaire Dr. and Benbrook, for bridge repairs"

I finally found bellaire near benbrook in fort worth but according to the trail map the trail does go there so I don't get it but them I'm not around there *shrug* Oh wait maybe he means benbrook the town not the blvd.

Might be best to suck it up and drive to joe pool.

There is a park up there that is being worked on, but it's not where the route goes.  Bellaire drive is my normal training route, and I have to ride that way to ride with the Tuneros, so I can say with certainty it's open.
