Weekday Permanent Route?

Mostly I'm looking for a 200k that isn't hours away I could finish during work hours.

In some areas traffic is better/worse on the weekends then the weekends so with a week day permanent in mind I was going to ask here what would a ok one?

I am pretty sure Dreams of Denton would be horrible due to commuter traffic since it stays between the I35s. What about something like Peechy Keene or Cheeburger? Probably heavier truck traffic on Cheeburger during the week but there is a nice wide shoulder mostly if not the whole way from what I remember on my DNQ in January.

Note: I'd actually do Dreams of Denton regardless if I could do it starting in Denton but since it is a loop it lists it as not reversable. It's only 13 miles from home too Sad

Live long and Prosper might be better than Cheeburger since it doesn't start / end at a major highway. No matter what though, rush hour in the morning and evening would likely be worse during the week, but after and before those times would likely be pretty nice. When Steve and I road Bobcat on a Friday we had hardly any traffic. I understand Ray may be nearing approval of something starting near you guys.

You have to cross the Trinity on 78, but traffic flow isn't bad if you are finishing up in the evening. Of course, the fact that it starts .5 miles from my house my affect my judgement.

If Dreams of Denton were backwards it would be just over 10 miles from my house and I'd ride to/from the start but it is a loop from Arlington which starts about 40 miles so that is a no go. Hopefully if Ray's new route is a 200k it'll be close enough to ride otherwise I'll have to way till I string some different folks commute routes together off of DORBA and make the DFW Commuter 200k, starting down the street from my house of course Grin

I don't recommend Dreams of Denton - I rode it with JerryAustin, the owner. There are so many turns, it's just rediculous. You would constantly be looking at the cue sheet.

I've not had time to finalize my new 200k. I actually have two on the drawing boards. Both leave from Flower Mound. One goes north west to Forrestburg (almost exactly 100k one way), and the other goes north east to Tioga. STAY TUNED

Dreams of Denton is the route that a GPS was made for Wink

I'd probably have to go one block out and back to make a stop at my house and then it would be screwed up for the rest of the day.

Forrestburg? I am starting to think y'all are getting some kind of commision from the country store or the local business association Grin
