We did this last year and had a good time.
 
The ninth annual Bob’s Uncle Buck’s Beer Bash (Uncle Buck’s used to be Big
Buck Steak House and Brewery next to Bass Pro Outdoor World across from Grapevine Mills Mall. The
BBBBB is now BUBBB!) Memorial Day Ride on Monday, May 25, 2009 with the Carrollton Cycling Club
(and guests). We will start from Uncle Buck’s parking lot at 8:00am and ride 57 miles on a northerly
route through Argyle arriving back at the parking lot between 11:00–12:00. There will be a shorter,
more leisurely route for those who don’t want to work that hard. This will be 45 miles at a pace to arrive
back at Uncle Buck’s at about the same time. There will also be a 35 mile route. Maps are posted on
www.carrolltoncycling.com.
Big Buck’s has a great lunch with sandwiches, steaks, ribs, salads, etc. and absolutely fantastic custom
brewed beers and ales. They have a sampler of eight 5oz. beers. For those who don’t drink beer there
is homemade lemonade and root beer.
The arrangement at Uncle Buck’s is that everything will be on individual checks and the gratuity will
be added in advance. Last year they had three long tables set up for us when we got there so people
could straggle in as they were ready. I have told them 30+ people for lunch and they are flexible.
Please email bob@MrChaplin.net if you are coming so that I can warn Uncle Buck’s to set up enough
tables and have enough staff.

LBJ West to Bass Pro Road, left over the bridge, right into the parking lot.
121 West to Bass Pro Road, right at the light, right into the parking lot.
Highway 26 East to Bass Pro Road, right at Bass Pro, left into the parking lot.
Bethel Road from Coppell West becomes Bass Pro, right into the parking lot.

This *was* a very good ride last year - I encourage everyone to come on out.  I'll probably go.
