When that message was posted, Shellene and I were about 40 minutes from the final control of "This Ain't No Club Ride" in Arlington.  Needless to say, we got wet.

Two clowns rode the Hillsboro ride. It was cloudy but no rain at all.

I was at my uncle's ranch east of Kaufman.  Driving back we drove through a monster storm.  I am guessing winds at 60 mph or better with trees coming down around us on 34.  I was a very interesting drive home until the other side of Terrell or so.

that storm was a frog choker!

Always good to ride in the rain when it is warm.  My rain jacket that performed so well on the df (a cannondale rainshell that seconds as vest since the sleeves zip off) left me fully soaked on the bent.  I guess the biggest problem was the zippers on the front of the jacket.  I could feel pools of water coming through.

What are all of you using for EFFECTIVE rain gear?  John S, I'm sure you have had to deal with some nasty weather, what are you using?

Shellene, that has been a hotly debated topic as long as I've been riding bents.  As far as I can tell, the best raingear on a bent would be one with no zipper in front.
