Totally off the cycling topic...   My son's band, Crashsight, is a local Dallas band playing the Deep Ellum nightclub circuit.  Radio station KDGE is having a contest to select a local band to open at their annual EdgeFest, based upon website voting totals.
 
The group is doing some very creative original music, and it's actually pretty good (IMHO)...  ANd it would be HUGE for them to get this gig.  So, do me a favor if you would, and go to

Hey, maybe Deep Ellum will make a comeback.  I quit going when everything moved to the west end and went yuppie.  Used to be pretty wild down there 'til the cops start giving public intoxication tickets INSIDE the bars.  And yeah, I voted like seven times.
