First Ride on new Bent
Feb 19th, 2009, 4:27pm

Smiley I'm sure it's no big deal to a lot of the veteran riders, but for me, it's huge. I got in my first little trail ride this afternoon on my newly constructed recumbent.  Smiley Eddie and I went to RLP and enjoyed an almost empty trail. I was overjoyed that my handy work held together and rode like a breeze. Hard to beat a lwb for smooth riding and at last I have a bike that was built totaly around my squaty body  Cheesy
I look forward to when I get to ride with everyone again. My bike is my only transportation now and I am learning to live without a car at least for now. My old car had turned into a money pit and quit on me for the last time a week ago after dumping a bunch of $$ into it in vain.

Jman,

That sounds great. Turning an idea into reality is a super experience. How did the maiden voyage go? On my first ride I hit a dog!
