It was so windy at White Rock today that...
Dec 13th, 2008, 8:47pm

The leaves hitting my face hurt.

Skunked 3 DF'ers in the first 2 laps and one of em was kinda mouthy about it. As soon as I got in front he said I wouldn't be able to hold it.

He didn't last more than a quarter mile...gotta love aerodynamics

I was there again today, slightly less wind however I caught the end of a marathon event so there was some dodging of runners for the first lap. Interesting thing was there were no cars or bikes anywhere until about 1:00

Saw someone on a yellow Bacchetta sitting along the south side, no mouthy DF'ers this time Sad

That was the White Rock Marathon. 17,000 runners.
The parking lots were blocked off by the police for the event.

Glad I caught it afterward, they had just a few hundred stragglers by the time I got there

They may have during the start of the event but they didn't do anything to stop me

Well that was darn nice of them.  I met a biker who paid a $210.00 fine for running a stop sign.

He got off easy, two years ago I paid $285 twice for the same thing
