For Sale: RANS Zenetik Tour, semi-custom built This is the bike I got through the estate sale early this year, that was apparently built up from a frameset. While stepson Brian enjoys it, he actually prefers the EZ-1, so I’ve decided to sell it to clear out a bit of garage hanger space!
Specs, as close as I can tell:
Frame Tig Welded 7005 Aluminum
Fork RANS 700 Alloy 1 1/8”
Headset Ritchey Logic Threadless 1 1/8” with adjuster
Bottom Bracket ???
Crankset Dual -- Stronglight 39/50, with Shimano 105 cranks, 170mm
Cassette 12/28 8-speed
Chain ???
Front D/R None –
you must add Rear D/R Shimano 105
F/R Shifters Shimano friction “thumbies”
Handlebar RANS flat bar, with additional “aerobar” attachment
Riser RANS Mid 5” forged
Brakes Tektro, but set up for 559 or 650 wheels.
Seat RANS Q.R / Poly with Trac-Loc and scale gradations
Rear Wheel Alex DA-16, 559
Front Wheel Negotiable (currently my DA-16 559)
Overall weight 20 pounds
This bike has been gently used, and is in excellent condition. You will have to add a front derailleur, if desired. The bike is capable of being converted to 700C wheels, but will need different brakes installed. I don’t know if it’s a small or a regular frame, but the seatpost will accept a full 8” range of inseam, and can handle much longer than my 31" inseam. Since it’s set up for 559 wheels and wide tires, I think the original owner intended for it to be a light, fun trail cruiser… The Zenetik is the CF that is specifically designed for standing up on, to scoot up those hills...
Bob Bryant did a very thorough review of the “CF” series of bikes, for general reference.

Ready for a good home!
I am asking $700, OBO… it would make a nice Xmas present for someone!!! This will post only to RBENT first, then to the outside world if no interest here.
Thanks,
