Ferris Wheel permanent, Sunday Nov 9th?
Nov 6th, 2008, 7:24pm

I can't do a long ride Saturday, but I'd like to do one on Sunday...  with a forecast for a southeast wind, the Ferris Wheel 200K sounds like a good one to do -- Greg and I did it earlier this year.    Anybody wanna join me, for a 7:00AM start out of Rockwall?  Planned total time of ~10 hours, cruising at 18ish?

Paul

Sorry to miss out. Bud ,Peggy,Bryan(LSR 'bent rider) ,& myself are riding Ferris Wheel route tomorrow. Start time at 7:30am.  For whatever reason ,I cannot post on the LSR website(I know Bud is having the same issues) ,otherwise I would have posted our Saturday ride on that forum.

If I could do it tomorrow, I would...  but Terrie's got the day off, so "I'm booked"...   Wink

HOWEVER -- would you guys want to stop by the house after the ride for burgers, etc???  We're only about 5-6 miles from the start/finish point, a couple miles north off of I-30....

Sounds like a plan. Are you talking about going somewhere nearby to eat? Surely you don't want a group of smelly cyclists at your place fresh from a 200k. As I recall, the Italian restaurant right at the start of the ride had good food.

No, I'm talking about smelly cyclists hanging out on the back patio, or inside driving the cats crazy...

ALSO -- George neglected to send me the signature card for this ride -- did he send that file to one of you doing it on Saturday, and could you forward it to me to make modifications to?

Paul ,I just sent you the cue sheet/perm cards. I was just planning on grabbing a bit to eat at Luigi's(like Bud & I did after Puttin' on the Styx perm.). We just added Nelson & Ray to ride tomorrow.

Luigi's is great because it's right there is Hobby Lobby parking lot. They're very biker friendly. Paul ,how about meeting us at Luigi's after the ride.

I'm sure we can give you a ringy dingy at the loast control so so.  Man that sounds like a PLAN!

I'd love to come do the second ride, but I doubt I can get a kitchen pass two days in a row.  I'll work on it tonight though!

So., to get this thread back on course from it's "end of Saturday dinner" hijack   Cheesy Wink ....

As of this morning, it looks like there are 5 other LSR (DF) riders coming along for SUNDAY morning's ride, so we'll have a good group.  Again, planned cruising speed is 18+, anticipating finishing around 4:30...
