Needed extra air in the tires
Oct 20th, 2008, 7:58pm

First ride after spending 4 days in Connecticut for a family wedding. 4 days of eating wonderful rich  Italian food, cakes ,pastries, wine.  We even went to an apple orchard and picked apples, walked in the woods , played in the leaves.I didn't remember liking fall that much it was beautiful.
Before my ride tonight  I ask Steve to put a little extra air in the tires and to check the weld on the seat post , even make sure what the weight limit is on the Strada . I ate a lot of good food in those 4 days. The Strada  took good care of me. We make it home from a 15 miles 18.3 MPH average ride the bike and I held up just fine. Now back to eating right and riding.

Being Jolly and Fat is Good!

Oh I can relate!  After the TTTT I decided to take a 2 week break from Cycling.  BUT I didnt adjust my eating habits and I had plenty of carb-food left over from th race.  So Ive think Ive gained 5 lbs from eating and NOT biking.

Perhaps Im fighting a natural human instinct to gain weight right before winter.
