Ken James and I left my house in south Garland on Tues. for a 45 mile trip to Caddo Mills, Tx. We towed our fully loaded trailers, up and down rollings hills and through the edges of Kaufman, Rockwall and into Hunt county. scenery was great, with large horse ranches setting of in the distance and the horses running along the fence. We arrived at the KOA campground at about 2:30pm, set up out tents and jumped in a clear, but cold pool. Felt GREAT. After about 30 minutes of play time, we gave it up, got on our bikes and rode about two miles to a truck spot for supper. After our return and with a full belly, we strolled over to the rec. center and played a couple of games of pingpong. A one to one tie. Slept well, nice and cool. Rode nine miles to breakfast on Weds. morning and had an uneventful but good ride, with a slight tail wind home. Total miles about 95. Great ride, lots of fun for old men. We expect more on the tour, AND it's not to late to sign up.
