Last Minute Cycing Oppurtunity Sat 9/6
Sep 5th, 2008, 7:07pm

Since Im not going to OKC this weekend I need a last minute cycling opportunity.  Me and Rodney are meeting up at RBM to pedal one of there weekly rides at 9:00AM tomorrow (Sat 9/6)  Most likely the Donut Ride (with special Guest Homer Simpson) at a slow 15mph pace.  Im going to ride my Rans Roket from my house to RBM then do the ride and then ride home.

Have fun with it, guys.  I'm doing the "fast" GDB airport ride, departing Preston/Forest at 7:50.

Well I ended up with a heck of a headache this morning.  Allergies are killing me.  I did not meet terry but did get out to ride over to PCF around 11 to have them look at a rubbing noise coming out of the front of the GRR.  On the way there I had a flat, so ended up having Marci pick me up and droped the bike off.  Funny enough after looking at the fender, brakes ... they could not figure out what was rubbing either.  So hopefully I will feel better tomorrow and go riding for real.

I wemt to go ride with thr bike club from Garland from Jole bike shop. Stated off going good and went to climb a little hill that was about 1/2 mile long and dot over it and Bam front tire went flat. called my wife she was at the bike shop . I was only about three mile from there.Got back to the shop look at the tire , the tire was ruined because it had a hole about the size ofpencil lead. nobody had a primo comet 20" in stock, so it will be thursdau before I get a new tire.So I put my extra tire on for now.. Did you go back on with a Primo Comet Kevlar?  I did this on the cycle genius and added liners and never had an issue.  I have ordered tuffy liners for the GRR.  Kevlar works well for the bigger punctures as you described but not so well for the little punctures.  The liners make the difference for the little ones.  I am running liners on my Strada and Cat, but did not do so on the GRR and ended up with a little bitty thorn puncture.

Yes I have the primo kevlar back on. I don't know anything about adding an extra lining. Huh

If you are not concerned about the extra few ounce tuffy liners are extra good insurance.
