Rockwall Hot Rocks 100K

Decent ride although the chipseal going south wasn't fun, did the usual "Pass everyone in the beginning" then started loafing after 15 miles until a group of 4 wedgies went by trailing an HP Speedmachine which woke me up. They "drafted" me for about 5 miles before they backed off and for some odd reason I seem to attract large groups of wedgies who catch then pass me then almost immediately back off.

I don't know what it is about that ride but it always seems to drain me more at the end than most of the others, I had a 20.5 average at the 40 mile mark then blah.

61.8 miles
19.2 mph average

I rode this event 2 years ago. Not a fan of this ride. My biggest complaint for me was the 100K route was poorly planned. We were directed back to high school(start/finish) on a Saturday at 11:30-12:00 ,just in time for lunch hour traffic on a very busy 2 lane bridge ,with semi-trucks ,over I-30. Dodging semi-trucks on a busy overpass & busy highway below ain't my idea of fun.
