Anyone up for small miles saturday?
Feb 12th, 2008, 8:14pm

I see the doc tomorrow and should have the all clear to ride.  I'm thinking a 20-30 mile shakedown of the aero, nothing too strenuous - maybe just the trinity trail. If youd like to come on a short ride, great!

Greg,

I'd like to ride with you, possibly test the TiCa and drool over your new bike.  I'm on the bubble at the moment though as I promised Angie that we hang out together Saturday, including taking her to Plano Cycling, that is if they still have a Giro 20 she can test ride.

My plan is to sell my custom, Ti (DF) Seven to fund a new bent.  Preferably a low racer or fast trike.  I've been looking at various sites (TXBRA, eBay, Craigslist), and it appears to be a buyers market.  For example, I was looking at eBay last night and there are titanium Seven frames for 1/2 the retail price and I thought Ti prices were at an all time high.

(1) anyone have any suggestion on how to best sell my Ti Seven?  I'm very inexperienced at selling on line.
(2) other than possibly test riding Greg's TiCa, how could I make an informed decision on a low racer?

The only way to make the BEST informed decision is to wait and come with me to Hawkeye Downs HPV race which is a couple weeks befrore the TTTT.  You can try anything you like there.  Otherwise, you can have my opinion on everything, since I've ridden every one you'd likely have an interest in.

Selling online is pretty easy - you just ahve to be careful about the money.  We can talk on Saturday if you end up being able to swing by.   Time doesn't matter for me - early or late is all good, weather permitting.

Hi Greg,

not sure where you'd start for a Trinity Trail ride, being from quite a few zip codes away.  But if you're thinking morning I'd love to see your new toy and get a ride in!

Take Care,
Nelson.

Since I work by the trail and will, as usual, be working Saturday, I might be able to join the group at most any time during the day.  DJ

I usually wstart at the church on the corner of beach street and i-30.  We could just as easily start from my house - I'm only 4 miles away from the trail.

I'd like to join you if the weather cooperates.  Right now it's supposed to be 30s to 40s and raining , which is much better weather for some Xbox360 time than for biking.  Or, maybe a trip to the health club.  Let me know what time and meeting place you decide on.  The trail behind the church on Beach is a good spot.
Glad you doing better and soon to back on the bike.

Well crap-ola.  I'm not sure I'm in the mood for 40 and rainy with a new bike.  DANGIT, why does my one saturday off till april have to be this junk.

Ray, if you want to test the tica we would want to meet at the church.  Nice straight flat path to get used to the bike.  What time could/would you like to meet?

Sunday is also fine with me - I have all weekend free.

Greg (et. all),

My usually, nonconfrontational wife just told me that since this weekend weather looks dismal, I'm taking her to Grandbury for a romantic weekend.  So test riding the TiCa will have to be rescheduled, as will drooling over porn.

Paul, before I sell my DF Seven, I'm going to sell Angie's carbon DF Giant so we can get her on a bent.  One day next week, since I'll be in town, I'll take some photos and ask you kindly to post it on GDB.  Thanks for offering, I really appreciate it.
