Way too proud of Texas
Nov 5th, 2007, 12:51pm

While working on a new Rando route, one of the LSR group discovered a pond or small lake, with a uniquely-shaped island in it... The pond is located south of Kennedale, on the east side of Rendon New Hope Rd, about 1.5 mi. north of FM 1187.  Here's a link to the satellite photo:

Natural or man-made, do you suppose?

What's funny to me is that the lake in general looks exactly like a reverse-image of Spain.  Eerily poetic, no?  Spain swallowing Texas?

Check out the "Second National Flag" http://www.sonofthesouth.net/texas/flags-republic-texas.htm  with the following description

In December of 1836 the new Texas Government approved the recommendation of David Burnett (Texas President)  for a new design for the "National Flag" of Texas. Little consideration was given to the  previous National Flag design by Zavala which had been adopted eight months earlier. On March 3rd, 1837, the Republic of Texas, under this flag, was recognized by the United States of America as a sovereign and independent nation.
