GDB Hill Training -- Wednesdays
Jul 2nd, 2007, 9:21am

The GDB group is planning to start a Wednesday evening "hill training" ride, originating at the new Performance Bike store at Walnut Hill and 75.  Details are yet to be formed, but I think it will be similar in format to the Tuesday night REI ride, where REI provides water/gatorade and minor repair shop assistance / bathrooms, with the ride itself lasting about 90 minutes or so.  I'm sure part of the route will involve going up Mason Dells...   Sad   (It's not The Beast, but it's close...)

I'll update here when I get more details.

I'd suggest that this isn't necessarily a ride for "starter" hill climbers, but more for experienced ones that don't mind working hard to keep up with DF'ers standing on their pedals...   I"m planning to attend at least the first one, so I'll letcha know how it goes...

...and Wah-Lah, more details appear...

We're planning the first ride for Wednesday, July 11th from Performance Bicycle. Southwest corner of Walnut & 75. Rolling out at 6:30 p.m.

Performance will provide water and Accelerade. They have restrooms so you can change there too.
