He was just a tad whacky doodle, but interesting and sometimes right on the mark. Probably rode a bent.

Actually Hunter Thompson usually rode a chopper when he was on 2 wheels. He got one while writing about the Hell's Angels.

For purposes of the posted image, I was thinking his POV was less "on two wheels" than "sprawled across the double yellow, looking up".
