Fair warning...we have to kick the price to $20 pre-reg/$25 day of to make it happen each month.  Sponsor issues (i.e., we don't have enough that will give cash...).

I'm told this is in line with pretty much everthing but the weekday crits...

I will have 'bent medals through 5 places and door prizes again this time...as well as much smoother everything.  Will probably start registration earlier and may even be able to send out your start times the night before!

Hey guys...do any of your recumbents use standard 700c race wheels?

We've got a "Fastest to the turn" prime of a set of ROL Volant Race wheels...$379 value for the first solo rider to get to the turnaround point at the July edition of the HCTT.

I hear recumbents are fast....but are they "that" fast? Smiley

Please go to http://www.ROLWheels.com and check them out.

Well, you know how I placed, so you know how fast bents can be - though that was definately an off day for me - I should have been much faster, and will be next time.

I'm definately out for this month's TT - I'm on vacation.  However, I'll be back for next month's for sure!

Hi Kevin,

currently I'm planning to be there,  cool about the wheels, the outbound section looks like it should be to the bents advantage on paper.  Just hope the engine can put in a performance.  I need to start getting some specific training in.

Take Care,
Nelson.

Yes I applied for the upgrade and it came in earlier than expected.  I had very low expectations for the race as I was still feeling the 400K quite a bit in the legs.  The pace might have been a little higher, but things seemed pretty smooth.  My legs were protesting quite a bit so I decided I had done enough about halfway through.  I was glad to get the logistics out of the way, and next week should go better I hope.

I was looking around for you in the C race, but didn't see you officiating until we started.

I'm thinking I may ride the TT course a few times this Saturday morning.  I'd like to see it.

Take Care,
Nelson.

I was in the C race, with the plan of dropping out with 5 to go so I could go put on my USAC officials shirt and score the finish.  SO I attacked on my last lap and got a good 20 second gap Smiley  NOBODY saw me as a threat!  Then I pulled out.  Maybe next week I attack again and make it stick, since I know I won;t be chased....

Practicing the TT course is a great idea.  Start at the school.  If you get to the construction area, you went too far Smiley  If you don't pass a gas station with a dragster on the roof, you didn't go far enough!

Road the the approximate course 3 times today, I agree very challenging for bents.  I was looking at about 36 minutes, so I officially suck at time trials.  I might have been faster on the Lemond on this one.  I was doing the outbound leg in a shade over 16, so 19 something coming back.  Definitely harder coming back.

If anybody else shows up I'm toast!  I saw alot of other riders, even some who seemed to be also practicing for the TT.  Aubrey seems like a nice town.

Take Care,
Nelson.

Hi guys,

We decided last week that we will attempt to run the HCTT series again next year, and you 'benters will be welcomed/invited again Smiley

Looking at March, May and July, depending on the TXBRA calendar.

Need sponsors, so if you know any companies that want to hit the "38 year old, white, male, mid-manager/professional" demographic, please let me know

Thanks!

Kevin
